The students who are applying for the upgrading programme should fulfil the following requirements:
- Pass the Sudan Secondary School Certificate exam or any equivalent certificate.
- Pass the required subjects that qualify them for the relevant programme.
- All the previous requirements should be conducted in the same year of Sudan Secondary School Certificate with the same index number and same academic year.
- Upgrading should be from the same diploma programme to the same bachelor programme.
- The two years Diploma degree holders ‘ll be accepted in the second level of the Bachelor programme, while the three years diploma holders will be accepted in the third level of the Bachelor degree.
- First Average Grade or excellent Diploma degree holders can be admitted for the upgrading programme after one year of their graduation.
- Very good grade or second (upper) Diploma degree holders are allowed to upgrade after two years of graduation.
- Good grade or second (lower) Diploma degree holders are allowed to upgrade programme after four years of obtaining their academic degree.
- D grade Diploma holders are allowed to upgrade after five years of their graduation.
- Upgrading is not permitted in the faculties of : MEDICINE.DENTISRY, VET AND PHARMACY.
- High secondary certificate students (Biology) with Engineering Diploma degree are allowed to upgrade programme in the Faculty of Engineering (Bachelor) as they meet the upgrading programme requirements.
