In a step towards sustainable agricultural development: A meeting between the university and the real estate bank to discuss agricultural projects serving the region

Berber – This morning, the university witnessed an important coordination meeting between Dr. Fania Abdullah Al-Badri, the university vice chancellor, and a high-level delegation from the Commercial Real Estate Bank led by Dr. Professor Hassan Hilal, Chairman of the Bank’s Board, accompanied by Mr. Al-Zubair, the bank branch manager in Atbara. The meeting was attended by Ms. Asia from the Investment Department of the Berber locality, and actively participated in by Dr. Saif Al-Nasr Mirghani, the university agent, Dr. Muhammad Al-Amin, assistant university director, and Dr. Musaddaq Qarib Allah Al-Badri, Dean of Affairs at the university.
The meeting discussed opportunities for joint cooperation to launch productive and developmental agricultural projects that directly benefit local communities and contribute to supporting the economy in the region. The mechanisms of financing and facilities that the bank can provide were discussed, along with the research and scientific capabilities offered by the university to study and ensure the success of these projects.
Dr. Fania Abdullah Al-Badri affirmed the university’s keenness to open up to financial and development institutions, pointing out that “this cooperation reflects the true social role of the university and paves the way for launching innovative agricultural projects based on scientific research that serve wide sectors of society.”
Professor Hassan Hilal expressed his happiness with the coordination with the university, affirming that the Real Estate Bank is ready to provide the necessary support for viable projects that achieve real developmental and economic returns, especially in the agricultural sector, which represents the backbone of development.
The meeting concluded with the formation of a joint follow-up committee and the opening of direct communication channels with the relevant authorities, paving the way for launching the initial phases of work in the near future.
