As part of the Ministry of Education’s efforts to strengthen partnerships with community educational institutions, the Minister of Education, Professor Ahmed Hamed, paid an official visit to the Sheikh Abdullah Al-Badri Educational Institutions in Berber. He was received by Sheikh Al-Bashari Abdullah Al-Badri, the successor of Sheikh Al-Badri, and a number of educational and community leaders in the region. The visit was part of a field assessment of the educational process in Sheikh Al-Badri schools (primary, intermediate, and secondary), identifying challenges and needs, and exploring ways to support them within a comprehensive vision for developing education in outlying areas. The visit included Sheikh Al-Badri Secondary School for Girls, where Ms. Khadija Salman, the school’s principal, provided a comprehensive briefing on the school’s performance and environment. The number of female students, along with the obstacles facing the institution.
Minister Ahmed Hamed expressed his great appreciation for the role played by Sheikh Al-Badri’s Sufi order in supporting education and spreading awareness, stressing that the partnership between the state, Sufi orders, and religious and national institutions represents a fundamental pillar for advancing education and achieving sustainable development.
For his part, Sheikh Al-Bashari Abdullah Al-Badri welcomed the Minister’s visit, stressing the readiness of Sheikh Al-Badri’s institutions to extend bridges of cooperation with the Ministry, and to provide everything that would serve the sons and daughters of Sudan in their educational journey, especially in areas facing developmental challenges.
The visit concluded with a tour of the educational institutions’ facilities, amid praise from students and teachers, who expressed their hope that the visit would contribute to improving the school environment and providing the necessary technical and logistical support.
