As part of its efforts to enhance academic and professional awareness among medical faculty students, the Medical Specialties Board organized a comprehensive introductory lecture for the university’s medical faculty students, attended and participated in by a number of academic and medical leaders. The lecture was held in the Khalifa Sharaf Al-Din Al-Badri hall and witnessed a large attendance of medical students and other medical faculties.
The event was chaired by Professor Mohamed El-Makki, Head of the Medical Specialties Board, with the participation of council members: Mr. Abu Bakr Da’ah – Secretary of the Surgery Council, Mr. Mohamed Al-Tayeb, Mr. Al-Sajad Al-Tayeb, Mr. Ahmed Ali Wahab, and Mr. Musab Dahab.
Also participating in the event on behalf of the faculty were: Dr. Samaher – Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Dr. Nadim – Academic Secretary of the Faculty, Dr. Osman Mortada – Head of the Department of Community Medicine.
The lecture aimed to introduce students to career paths in various medical specialties, clinical training requirements, and the importance of engaging in accredited specialization programs. The lecture also covered medical specialties, college accreditation, and other related matters that are important to students at the beginning of their academic and professional journey.
The lecture witnessed great interaction from the students, with many questions raised about the admission mechanisms in various disciplines and professional development options after graduation.
Professor Mohammed Al-Makki emphasized in his speech that the board is keen to support students from the early stages of their academic journey and to provide them with information that helps them make informed decisions about their professional future.
At the end of the lecture, the students expressed their gratitude to the board and the college for this awareness initiative, emphasizing the importance of continuing such events.
